Senior-level analysts must be excellent communicators who also have strong organizational and problem-solving abilities. Candidates need to have superior technology skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and database applications. ERP systems experience also is valued. Companies expect a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or economics but prefer candidates who also have an MBA.
