User Experience (UX) Designer Job Description

UX designers determine the architecture and wireframes that help users navigate a product or website. They zero in on users’ underlying emotional and functional needs and apply that knowledge to create an enjoyable experience that also supports business objectives. UX designers often collaborate with business, customer service, design and technology teams. This role requires creativity, and storytelling and problem-solving skills. UX designers must also possess a solid understanding of design principles and wireframing tools, such as Axure RP, Balsamiq, InVision and Sketch.

Typical user experience (UX) designer duties:

Creating wireframes, storyboards, site maps and screen flowsManaging the full design process, from research, ideation and concept development to prototyping and evaluationHandling user-acceptance testing on prototypes and finished products and analyzing user feedback and activity
